COMERFORD DANCERS BRING HOME THE GOLD!!!Four Comerford dancers took championship honors at the 2011 Western US Championships (Oireachtas) in Anaheim, November 18-20. Cameron Lambert repeated, this time in Boys U10; Christophe Bouchard won in Boys U13; Tori Lopez in Girls U18; and Jake Grey in Boys U15. These 4 champions were joined by 34 other Comerford dancers who placed in the competitions. A total of 16 Comerford dancers placed in the highest ranks, qualifying to compete in the World Championships in Belfast in 2012. A great weekend! CHAMP REPEATS!Liam Anjos is the 2011-12 Western Canadian Boys U13 Champion, winning the title at the Western Canadian Championships on November 4 In Edmonton. This is a repeat win for Liam, who lives in Vancouver, B.C., commutes weekly to classes in Seattle, and frequently appears in area performances with fellow Comerford dancers. We're proud of him! |
