Wow, a manga with twins that actually have their issue resolved this early in the story, so we can see more of their lovey dovey moments instead?
I must be dreaming!

irl this would lead to an insane catfight or one of them just throwing in the towel right away.
I take it you're speaking from your deep well of experience here. You do know there's a word called "compromise" that people quite often use and follow, right?

this is why i explicitly mentioned them being SIBLINGS, or, more specifically, freaking TWINS, in a relationship with the same dude - something you deliberately ignored. irl this would lead to an insane catfight or one of them just throwing in the towel right away. and yes, polyamory may exist even in countries where the women in question have a choice to engage in such relationships - that doesn't change the fact that probably 99.9 % of ppl are against it.
That's weird because it seems like every second person on dating apps is like "we practice ENM", "am poly'.

'compromising' on dating the same dude when they're sisters (meaning they've gotten in each other's hair all their life)?? maybe not?? like, i get that ppl without siblings may have these twincest fetish fantasies, but that's not gonna work outside of manga. and i never said or even insinuated that you shouldn't read this or anything else. hell, i do cause i like the art and the girls' character designs. just that it feels weird even if it's just a manga. i just can't stop comparing things to real life i suppose.

I'm actually really annoyed because it's hard to keep track of who is dating who at dinner parties. I also have a no strangers at my house until I vet them policy, so it makes it extra awkward.Edit: That's also such a weird assumption to make about a stranger on the internet lol
what's strange about the assumption that ppl get tricked by supposedly models that apparently have nothing better to do than to hang out on dating sites and talk about polyamory or other random bs? this shit works. otherwise the internet wouldn't be full of aggressive and intrusive ads with this crap.
and why are you jumping from the manga to dating sites to what you try to sell ppl as your private life (if some may believe it)? what's your angle here? and what does any of that have to do with my initial point of polyamory existing even in western countries, but being exceedingly rare and not the norm since most ppl STILL strive for a monogamous relationship even if they have the opportunity to pursue other forms of romance? and also the thing that a polyamorous relationship where siblings pursue the same romantic partner is not something you'd ever encounter.

I've never come across siblings like in this manga in real life. But I don't remember refuting you there?
I have no angle here. I'm sorry if you've been tricked before.
But it just didn't sit well with me when you said 99.9% of people are actively monogamous. It just doesn't quite add up in the real world. I'd even believe you if you said a number like 95% (I'm sure there could places where it's at 99.9% as you say). The stigma is probably big enough that your average office worker is never going to divulge whether they have more than one partner. Well at least until they learn that you won't judge them for it...
Edit: You are right about the examples from personal life though. I'll make sure to edit it out. It really was just me airing my grievances over how everybody is in "open" relationships these days. My bad.

even if ppl don't talk about it, other ppl close to them would notice: family, friends, whatever. and only some of these 'outsiders' would be able to keep quiet. and 1 in 20 people involved in these practices is an insane amount. in bigger european countries like france, uk, germany, italy etc, this would amount to 1 million+ ppl in each country. if something like that happened, the public would notice - even before mainstream media report about it. and the thought of all of them collectively keeping quiet is absurd. the relationship and society structures may be different across the pond - or wherever you're from - but on the old continent this amount of ppl following these practices probably won't happen for a few decades. maybe in the future when they implement some crazy plan to combat low birth rates like some manga proposed lol
lastly, i sure hope this whole argument wasn't including cheating like your post seemed to insinuate. cause then we would have gotten totally off track since in the manga the three of them consented to this relationship and obviously knew about the other two.

It's likely a combination of country, culture, religion, and subculture. There are definitely cities and subcultures where consensual non-monogamy & polyamory are over represented. I remember 10 years ago I had never met a non-monogamous couple before. Can't say that's the case anymore.

No, I responded to it as you wrote it. You said "especially if", but that means you still think it is insane even if they aren't related.

I don't think you have a damn clue what polyamory is. It isn't polygamy. Sheesh..."may exist"...I'm in the US, and I and everyone I'm in a relationship with is poly.

While it's a minority of people, you're vastly underestimating it.
